First, I must admit that I am not religious, but I am spiritual. I believe that God and I are one and that God speaks to us all in some form or fashion. The God within us gets our attention in multiple ways: an audible voice, a sign in the universe, through people, and/or in our dreams. This God loves us all even in uncertain times and is always communicating with our spirits and our minds.
I have to admit that I used to be very religious. After a divorce to a pastor, I put down everything I knew and opened myself up to hear spirit for myself, not depending on man for a confirmation, but being spirit-led in everything I did. Here I am nine years later: The best version of me living my best life. I’m not saying that I didn’t have any valleys, but I am saying that God was with me in the valley. That was where I learned life lessons that have catapulted me into my destiny and purpose. Despite having tears in my eyes, I asked God, “What is the lesson and what do I need to do?” Not only did I ask, but I listened for the answer, and I obeyed what was instructed. Sometimes following God’s leading can be scary, but I can attest that it is worth it. Those instructions led me to write books and start coaching clients.
Many years were uncertain for me especially if you were on the outside looking in. I was known as a nomad, living in rooms in different states and in foreign countries. No one day was the same. In those times, my faith increased, my ears were in tune to the heart of God, and I was overwhelmingly HAPPY. I was always expecting the next miracle and the next opportunity. I traveled, experiencing life to the fullest, even living in Alicante, Spain training in fitness for three months with strangers. Though people were talking about me, they were envious that my free spirit allowed me to soar. They wanted to do what I wasn’t afraid to do. God was with me.
So, as we face uncertainties, rest on the God within you. Breathe and just BE. You wanted more time to relax, this is it. We are all in this together. Don’t look at today or tomorrow as a challenge. Look at today as an opportunity to LIVE. Out of tragedy, dreams are built.
