As we are now in a new year, 2020, it’s time for our vision regarding our finances to be 20/20 according to our eyesight. This means a clear vision and steady focus on how to make permanent changes to place yourself in a better financial position. It’s important to learn from the past and focus on the future. If 2019 was financially challenging, what can you do differently now that you have a fresh start?
Many people make New Year’s resolutions based on a tradition; however, what if you made a revelation instead and looked at things in a different way that leads to a permanent change in your financial situation. It’s time to get focused on your finances and leave the old bad habits or challenges behind. Don’t bring old baggage and try to stuff it in new bags because you will never move forward!
A number of tips and tools can assist you in having a better vision of how to eliminate debt and create and stick to your budget. Understanding starts with your mindset.
For your personal use, you can download Mint.com or Venmo. Then attach your banking information and it will show in categories how much you’re spending. You can also set budgets for yourself. As for your business, an app called Goodbudget is excellent. It keeps track of your spending and allows for financial reports to be created. If you have business or personal loans, the Simple Loan Calculator app is beneficial. This one assists in keeping track of your loans and payments.
