Hello Ladies, it’s been a while since I’ve written! Many things have happened, including the arrival of another baby to the family. There were so many adaptations and situations that I ended up moving away from something I love very much: Writing!
I chose a special moment to return to this lovely hobby, International Networking Week, precisely because I strongly believe in the power that exists in a good network of relationships.
I created a network with more than 40,000 people on LinkedIn, and there we talk about careers, outplacement and motherhood. Here at Her Nexx Chapter, it is no different; we have a strong team of women who support each other, because “alone we can go faster, but together we go further.”
Thinking about techniques to build a good network and ensure your employability, I mention a few below:
- Keep an open channel with colleagues and former service colleagues.
- Be available to help people and support them when they need it.
- Be active on social networks; maintain a firm position on your ideas, but never judge or offend other people.
- Be accessible!
- Practice nonviolent communication by performing active and empathetic listening.
- Invest time and financial resources in developing your professional profile.
The formation of a network depends a lot on how much we know each other and are able to perceive one another, to see the potential that is in each one of us!
